Leave a legacy
By leaving a gift to Alabaré in your will, you can help us continue to be there for homeless and vulnerable people who have nowhere else to turn long into the future.
How your legacy will help to transform lives
Every year, Alabaré helps thousands of people rebuild their lives. We support homeless adults, parents and their young babies, young people leaving the care system, veterans struggling to adapt to civilian life, and those with learning disabilities.
Your gift will make sure we can continue to give a home and support to the most vulnerable in our society; providing basic support such as a hot meal and an emergency bed in cold weather but also helping homeless people off the streets for good – over 90% of the people we support move on successfully into their own accommodation.
How do I leave a gift to Alabaré?
Leaving a gift in your Will is easier than you think whether you need to make a Will or have your existing one reviewed, you can:
- Use any solicitor you wish.
- Talk to your solicitor – they will be able to advise you on how to make a new Will or add to your current Will.
- If you do not have a solicitor, we are lucky to be partnered with Steele Rose in Salisbury or Guardian Angel (nationwide online service). Both will prepare your will free of charge.
Free Will Service
Our partnership with Steele Rose in Salisbury and Octopus Legacy (nationwide online service) means you can prepare your Will free of charge.
If living within Wiltshire contact Steele Rose on 01722 410009 and mention the Alabaré Free Will Service when making your appointment.
Alternatively, visit the Octopus Legacy website and use the checkout code ALABAREFREE, the whole process can be done in less than 15 minutes.
If you are happy to do so, please let us know if you have remembered Alabaré in your Will as it will help us with forecasting.
Plus, it’s always nice just to be able to say thank you.

Homelessness really troubles me – it’s an issue I can’t ignore – and I know that it is about much more than a physical place to call home. There’s often much support needed to get someone to a better situation. I’ve been volunteering at the drop-in centre in Alabaré Place for twelve years now and I’m leaving a gift to Alabaré to make sure they can carry on their essential work.
