Referrals to Alabaré Homes for Veterans’ Service can either come through partnership organisations or as self-referrals directly from veterans. You do not have to be registered with your local authority; you can move to any local authority where there is an Alabaré Homes for Veterans.

Access Streetlink

If you are sleeping rough, you can make an alert with StreetLink. Your alert will be passed on to your local outreach team, who will try to find you at the location you give us.

An outreach team will help as soon as possible – but please don’t wait. Seek other help if you can.

Search for local support services

Homeless provides a link to the most comprehensive database of homelessness services. It is constantly updated and lists 1,500 projects nationwide with contact details and service descriptions.

Partnership Organisations which may help

Op FORTITUDE is funded by The Armed Forces Covenant Fund to deliver a centralised referral pathway into veteran supported housing. If you need support outside of the locations we operate in contact Op FORTITUDE.

They can also provide support to veterans who are at risk of homelessness by supporting them to maintain their current home.

SSAFA is the charity supporting ex-service military personnel. They can also provide housing advice and support with mental wellbeing and much more.

Combat Stress provides specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues.

The Veterans’ Gateway service is available to all Tri-Service veterans and their families. Content covers welfare areas: housing, employment, finances, living independently, mental wellbeing, families and communities, and physical health.

Rough sleepers can get free meals, showers, and advice at Alabaré ‘Somewhere to Go’ Drop-In Centres in Salisbury and Chippenham.
