Good to know:
  • To skydive you must be over 16 years of age
  • You can take part from the GoSkyDive base in Swansea or Salisbury
  • Full training from an experienced team on the day
  • You will enjoy a tandem parachute jump with a qualified expert
  • You will receive a fundraising pack, a kit list, a sponsorship form and full support of an event crew on the day
  • You will be funding our support pathway for vulnerable veterans, ensuring a safe home, training, and help with their mental wellbeing

No veteran should call the street a home. Too many Armed Forces veterans are still sleeping rough or sofa surfing because they have hit a crisis in their civilian lives. Join us and make a stand against veteran homelessness.

What is involved:

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings in France, we are encouraging wannabe intrepid skydivers to take part in Alabaré’s tribute to those brave servicemen who landed on the Normandy Beaches 80 years ago. All money raised will go towards supporting the homeless veterans in our care in England and Wales.

Is 2024 the year you take on a Bucket List challenge and push yourselves out of a plane? You won’t be alone, as you’ll be in a tandem dive with an expert skydiver at the Go SkyDive sites at either Salisbury or Swansea – you choose.

We have over 50 skydivers already taking to the skies at various dates throughout June and July, if you would like to be one too this is a great chance to be supported by our experienced events team.

Become a fearless fundraiser and potentially have the biggest adrenaline rush of your life. Soar through the air and drift to the ground, knowing your fundraising efforts are going to bring an end to homelessness for those veterans who have fallen on hard times.

The jump:

A tandem skydive is the ultimate adrenaline rush, while you may be parachuting out of a plane at 10-15,000 feet and freefall at 125mph at least you will know you are supported by an instructor all the way. It is an experience like nothing else; the only way to understand it – is to do it for yourself!

How we help veterans: We provide a pathway of support, homes, and training to meet the individual needs of each veteran in need of our help.

How to sign up: Please sign up using the form below to provide us with your details. You will then be directed to the GoSkydive website, where you will need to book, choose your D-Day skydive location, pay your registration fee and answer their health questionnaire.  You are welcome to book your sky dive any date to suit you between 1st June and 31st July 2024.

Worldwide participation:

We hope people of all nations will take part, so if you would like to jump in aid of Alabaré Homes but are not near the two air bases of Salisbury or Swansea, you can do as an in-aid of jump local to you and we will cheer you on (remotely) as you do.  It would be wonderful to have representatives from all the nations that took part in D-Day do the jump from somewhere around the world.
