We welcomed the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Johnny Mercer MP, to Drummond Park in Ludgershall, Wiltshire, to meet with those involved in the veterans’ community project and discuss the huge benefits of collaboration between charity and industry in helping veterans.
We welcomed the Leader of Wiltshire Council, Cllr. Richard Clewer, to see the progress of the Drummond Park site at Ludgershall and meet the Alabaré Self-Builders involved in its construction.
While this milestone birthday is a time of celebration, it is also a time for reflection. The sad reality is that homelessness is as much a problem now as it ever was.
This week marks ten years since one of the most significant milestones in our Alabaré journey – the completion of Alabaré Place Salisbury.
At Salisbury Cathedral we hosted an event to celebrate our 30 years of changing the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our communities.
Our story began in the late 1980s when a simple telephone call led to Rev John Proctor and his wife Alicia befriending and offering their home to a series of people in crisis.
We are incredibly proud and excited to let you know that our amazing Chief Executive, Andrew Lord, is to be awarded an MBE!
