A Heartfelt Thank You to ALABARÉ Ambassadors Richard Lord and Chris Thorpe
It is with gratitude and sadness that we share that Richard Lord and Chris Thorpe have stepped down as Chairs of our Wiltshire and Plymouth Ambassadors groups.
It is with gratitude and sadness that we share that Richard Lord and Chris Thorpe have stepped down as Chairs of ALABARÉ’s Wiltshire and Plymouth Ambassadors.
Richard and Chris’s commitment to us has been exemplary.
Together, they have helped to build a community of passionate supporters who have championed our work across Wiltshire, Plymouth and overseas.
Through countless activities and acts of generosity, Richard, Chris and their respective ambassadors have helped raise nearly £200,000 in support of ALABARÉ’s cause through sleep outs, sky dives and historical talks.
Both Chairs have been quick to recognise that the success of their Ambassadors’ groups has been a team effort, helping the network to flourish and enabling so many successful fundraising and engagement initiatives over the years.
We would also like to pay special tribute to Richard and Chris’s family, whose unwavering support, encouragement and generosity have been such an important part of their journey with ALABARÉ.
Chief Executive Andrew Lord said:
“Richard Lord and Chris Thorpe’s impact extends far beyond the funds raised. They have been outstanding advocates for ALABARÉ, opening doors, strengthening relationships and inspiring others to give their time, energy and resources to support those who need it most.
“On behalf of everyone at ALABARÉ, our trustees, colleagues, volunteers and fellow Ambassadors, we would like to thank Richard and Chris for their years of exceptional service and leadership. We wish them both our very best and assure them both that they remain valued members of the ALABARÉ family.”
