Strengthening veteran support, so every veteran, regardless of location, can more easily access the care, housing, employment, and wellbeing services they need.

VALOUR Support Alliance Southwest 

 VALOUR is a government-funded programme that will ensure thousands of ex-forces personnel can visit veteran support centres across the UK and gain easier access to local services across health, housing, employment and more.

In the South West, seven specialist military charities are working together to ensure every veteran and their family can access the right help, at the right time.

Through shared expertise in housing, health, wellbeing, and employment, the VALOUR Support Alliance Southwest provides coordinated support for those who have served; helping individuals rebuild confidence, reclaim independence, and create a positive future.

  • Emergency and supported accommodation
  • Homelessness prevention
  • Move-on housing pathways
  • Practical support with tenancy, budgeting, and independent living
  • Community outreach for those at risk or in transition

Health

  • Mental health support, counselling, and crisis prevention
  • Medical welfare guidance during hospital treatment or illness
  • Therapeutic programmes including horticulture and equine-assisted learning
  • Resilience and wellbeing courses to build confidence and reduce isolation
