ALABARÉ Welcomes Florence Eshalomi MP as Minister for Homelessness
ALABARÉ is delighted to see Florence Eshalomi MP appointed as the new Minister for Homelessness. Both Florence and ALABARÉ recognise the positive role that faith and community organisations play in strengthening society.
At a time when we are seeing record numbers of people sleeping rough, in temporary accommodation, or facing the prospect of homelessness, we hope Florence’s appointment brings renewed focus to a growing national crisis.
Florence will be the eighth minister in this position in as many years. Lasting solutions require stability, consistency, and collaboration across government, housing providers, charities, and communities.
We strongly urge Florence, as Minister for Homelessness, to engage with both national charities that influence policy and regional charities like ALABARÉ that provide homes, restore hearts, and empower minds – so that together we can make lasting change and truly break the cycle of homelessness.
