Our Gloucestershire Home for Veterans offers housing and support to ex-Service personnel who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. All our residents must have served in the British Armed Forces.
Gloucestershire Home for Veterans provides two homes supporting up to 12 Veterans.
When you arrive you will be introduced to your key worker, who will work with you to agree a support plan based on your individual needs. Our team can help you to access other appropriate agencies, including counselling services, drug & alcohol agencies and support groups, CAB and NHS services wherever neccesary.
The houses are within walking distance of Gloucester city centre. Local leisure opportunities include a leisure centre and cinema, and training courses are available through the local Learn Direct Centre and College.
Within our Gloucestershire Home for Veterans, you can access the training and skills you need for independent living, including; budgeting, healthy eating, shopping, and life skills. You can stay within our homes for a maximum of 1 year.
We will also help you when it comes to moving on to your own home. This will include supporting you to find the right home for you, and helping you with the practical tasks of setting up your new home. We can also keep in contact with you through your first few months whilst you find your feet.
We accept referral to our Gloucestershire Home for Veterans from local support agencies, The Royal British Legion, local prisons., and other charities. If you think our home could be right for you, and you are willing to engage with the support we are offering, you can also refer yourself, so please get in touch.
If you would like more information on our home, please get in touch, or download a copy of our project information sheet.
Make a lasting difference - set up a standing order and provided long term support for the home.
Thank you for your support!
