Maerefolk are Fiona Hulbert (vocals), Mike Camp (guitar and vocals) and Hadrian Cook (bass). ‘Maerefolk’ is Old English for ‘celebrated folk’. The group perform traditional folk songs, some modern ones, and some original material!

They are joined by vocalist, guitarist, ukulele and banjo-player Luke Futcher who sings jazz, swing and vintage novelty songs.

Luke Futcher’s rich, smooth crooning takes inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic, drawing comparison to the likes of Bing Crosby, Al Bowlly and Nat King Cole. Grittier, bluesy numbers are delivered with gusto and Luke knows how to wring the comedic value out of a novelty song. His guitar style provides the perfect counterpoint to his voice, conjuring hot club rhythms and the driving swing of a big band.
