Alabaré Winter Charity Newsletter
I am delighted to share with you our winter charity newsletter. It’s full of lots of news on how your support is really helping those in our communities.
I hope you enjoy the read.
Read online edition NOWYour support is invaluable, and I would like to thank you so much for your generosity and kindness, especially as we now approach winter. We really appreciate it and couldn’t do what we do without you, thank you so very much.
As I look back, it has been a busy summer with our homes full, and wider support activities happening across our region. We have seen many people successfully move on to their own home, including Simon who you can read about in our newsletter.
Thank you so much to everyone who took part in our inaugural summer raffle. By taking part you collectively helped us raise nearly £4,500 which is helping more people rebuild their lives.
In our newsletter, you can read how vital our young people’s services are as national rates of homelessness continue to rise, especially amongst young people. There is also news of our latest Alabaré veterans self-build scheme which has started in Plymouth. As you will read, we have several events coming up over the next few weeks as well – so please do come along – we would love to see you there.
Finally, I would just like to say again how grateful we are for your support. We know that, like us, many people are seeing their finances squeezed, which makes every donation you give even more important to us.
Every gift, each hour of volunteering, every prayer, each event you attend, each time you tell someone about our work you are making a vital difference to us and the vulnerable you help us support, thank you.
With very best wishes,
Rachel Houston
Supporter Care Officer
