When Kiah arrived at Alabaré just after her 18th birthday, she had already endured years of housing instability and emotional trauma.
When 19-year-old Josie first arrived at Alabaré parent and baby supported accommodation she was several months pregnant, feeling lost, suffering with social anxiety, and facing an uncertain future.
Our partnership with Wiltshire Council has been renewed following a tendering process meaning we will continue to provide our professional support to homeless people in Wiltshire for at least the next five years.
Within our Young People Service, we provide homes and support to a number of young homeless unaccompanied asylum seekers in our supported living homes in Salisbury and Andover.
As a young parent Sophie is excited as she and her son are about to move into their own flat following eighteen months at ALABARÉ’s Parent and Baby home in Salisbury.
Ed came to Alabaré after finding themselves on the brink of homelessness after returning from Japan, where they had been studying Japanese studies and English literature until the pandemic.
We worked closely with Harry to help him apply again, and eventually, he has been able to secure additional support with his dyslexia.
Sam moved into our Parent & Baby service with her six-month-old son when she was just 17 years old.
