Help Unlock £12,000 for Salisbury’s Homeless in the Big Give Christmas Challenge

Support our Big Give Christmas challenge to support salisbury drop-in

Imagine facing winter on the streets—cold, hungry, and alone.

For too many across Wiltshire, this is a sad reality. Every day, up to 30 people who are sleeping rough come to our Somewhere Safe to Go service at ALABARÉ Place, Barnard Street, Salisbury. Here, they find warmth, a hot meal, a shower, clean clothes, and—most importantly—compassion and support.

DONATE TODAY – YOUR HELP COUNTS

Last year, we supported 1,024 people in crisis. And demand is growing. But this vital service exists only through the donations we receive and the generosity of local food providers. Without this support, many would have nowhere safe to turn.

Why This Week Matters More Than Ever

This week, we have an incredible opportunity to make your gift go further. Through The Big Give Christmas Challenge, if we raise £12,000 in donations, every pound will be doubled thanks to match funding. That means twice the meals, twice the showers, twice the hope.

But there’s a catch: donations must be made via The Big Give website during this campaign week to unlock the match funding. If we don’t reach our £12,000 target, we risk leaving vital funds on the table—funds that could transform lives this winter.

What Your Donation Could Provide

Your donation will help us keep our doors open and provide essentials like:

  • Hot meals and drinks to keep people nourished and warm
  • Showers, clean clothes, and laundry facilities to restore dignity
  • Toiletries, sleeping bags, and warm clothing for those on the streets
  • One-to-one housing advice and emotional support to help people move from crisis to stability

Every pound you give this week will be doubled, meaning your generosity goes twice as far.

Jane’s Story from the Frontline

Jane runs our Drop-In service at ALABARÉ Place. Every day, she sees the difference your support makes:

“When someone walks through our doors, they’re often exhausted, hungry, and feeling hopeless. A hot meal and a warm shower might seem small, but for someone who’s been sleeping rough, it’s life-changing. It’s the first step to rebuilding trust and helping them believe in a better future.”

Jane works with her team of volunteers, providing nourishing food which local supermarkets and food providers often donate. Her team don’t just provide practical help, they offer compassion, dignity, and hope. And that’s only possible because of people like you.
