Thousands Of Runners Get Their Glow On For Alabaré At Longleat
Wow, what a fantastic night! Last Saturday, 10th September, we were joined by over 3,300 people for our inaugural Glow in the Park:Longleat. And what a time we all had! The atmosphere was electic, with DJ Dion warming the crowd up to some disco classics, making sure everyone was ready for the 6km run ahead.
A technicoloured glowing mass of people gathered at the start line. Runners included groups of friends, college classmates, families, young and old alike. Everyone was dancing, taking photos and enjoying the party atmosphere.
The course itself wove around the iconic estate, through parkland and past the stunning Longleat House. Around the route were seven fun zones to enjoy, including the fluorescent paint blast, squelchy foam zone, and for brave hearted runners the Lion's Den!
So whether you walked, ran or skipped the course, thank you so much to everyone who took part on Saturday. We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did. Most importantly, thank you because each of you has helped raise vital funds for our work here at Alabaré, allowing us to help transform the lives of more vulnerable and homeless people who need our care. We couldn't do it without you.
We will be posting more photos this week so watch this space. If you had your photo taken in our Alabaré photo booth, we are processing these over the next few days and will be sending these out to you as soon as we can.
